For the First Time Ever: Van Gogh Returning To Arles, France
Art lovers will be delighted this summer with the special exhibition "Van Gogh et les Étoiles" (Van Gogh and the Stars) at the Foundation Vincent van Gogh in Arles, France. The showcase is scheduled from June 1 to September 8, 2024.
The Masterpiece Returns Home
The highlight of the exhibition is the presentation of Vincent van Gogh’s masterpiece, “La Nuit étoilée sur le Rhône” (Starry Night over the Rhône). This iconic painting will be displayed in Arles for the first time since its creation. This exceptional loan is from the Musée d’Orsay and is part of the national event “Les 150 ans de l’impressionnisme” (The 150th Anniversary of Impressionism) initiated by the Ministry of Culture and the Musée d’Orsay.
A Gathering of Artists
In addition to Van Gogh’s work, the exhibition will feature works from more than seventy artists. The inclusion of these artists provides new insights into Van Gogh’s work and highlights its enduring influence.

Tony Cragg: A British visual artist, Tony Cragg is known for his exploration of unconventional materials and forms. His sculptures often play with the boundaries between the natural and the man-made.
Alicja Kwade: A contemporary artist from Poland, Alicja Kwade’s work often deals with concepts of time, space, and reality. Her installations and sculptures are known for their thought-provoking nature.
Anselm Kiefer: A German painter and sculptor, Anselm Kiefer’s work is characterized by a deep engagement with history and culture. His large-scale paintings and installations often incorporate materials such as straw, ash, clay, lead, and shellac.
Dove Allouche: A French artist, Dove Allouche’s work spans a variety of mediums, including drawing, photography, and printmaking. His work often explores the intersection of natural and industrial landscapes.
Yves Klein: Known for his monochrome works, particularly in his signature International Klein Blue, Yves Klein was a leading figure in post-war European art. His work often explored ideas around the immaterial and the infinite.
Lee Bontecou: An American artist, Lee Bontecou is known for her pioneering sculptures that combine painting and sculpture, and for her use of unconventional materials.
