David Collins Studio, a globally acclaimed interior architecture practice, has been transforming spaces into timeless experiences for over three decades. Established in 1985 by the late David Collins, the studio has carved a niche for itself in the realm of luxury interior design.
David Collins, an Irish-born visionary, was exceptional designer. He was a storyteller who used spaces as his canvas. His unique aesthetic sensibility combined elegance with a contemporary edge, creating environments that were not only visually stunning but also deeply resonant with their inhabitants. Even though Collins is no longer with us, his vision continues to guide the studio.
The signature style of David Collins Studio is a masterful blend of classic and contemporary elements. The use of rich materials such as marble, velvet, and brass, along with intricate detailing and a carefully curated color palette, creates an atmosphere of understated luxury. Each space designed by the studio tells a story, with every element contributing to the narrative.
David Collins Studio showcases a remarkable portfolio across multiple sectors. Iconic hotels such as The London NYC and The Connaught in London, upscale retail spaces for luxury brands like Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo, and a multitude of private residences all feature the studio's signature blend of elegance and sophistication.
David Collins Studio is fervently dedicated to sustainability, acknowledging its critical role in the current design sphere. The studio is committed to crafting designs that are not just visually appealing but also ecologically considerate. Sustainable materials and methods are integrated into their work as much as possible, with the goal of reducing their ecological impact. This includes opting for locally sourced materials to cut down on transport-related emissions and choosing furniture made from recycled or renewable sources.
Each choice is guided by the principle of sustainability. Additionally, the studio takes into account the longevity of their designs, ensuring the spaces they create are enduring and remain effective for many years. David Collins Studio's dedication to sustainability mirrors their conviction that excellent design should benefit our lives and the well-being of our environment.

In 2024, one of the most notable projects undertaken by David Collins Studio is the Queen Anne Cruise Ship. The studio has designed 18 areas onboard, including the most luxurious suites, specialty restaurants, and The Pavilion entertainment hub. The interiors are a celebration of Cunard’s rich history as a British heritage brand, blending the classic and the contemporary with Art Deco finishes and archival references throughout.
Another exciting project is the Tre Dita Restaurant in Chicago. Like all David Collins Studio designs, this restaurant is expected to be a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, offering a unique dining experience for its patrons.
The studio is also working on the design of the Alexander McQueen flagship stores, with locations in major cities like Paris, Miami, London, New York, and Tokyo. These spaces are anticipated to reflect the brand’s unique style, with the studio’s signature touch of elegance and sophistication.
